FARMHOUSE IN CHESHIRE

A major renovation of an existing neglected farmhouse was wholly project managed by AMELIA INTERIOR DESIGN.

Working with Architects, Contractors and Landscapers, this property was transformed into a superior country residence sitting naturally in its open surroundings.

The spaciousness of the property was created by knocking down original walls, bricking up doorways and opening up what was otherwise a drab and dreary interior.

Natural materials were the key element in the design. Wooden sash windows, specially made skirting's, architraves and doors, travertine flooring, the handmade painted kitchen which sits in the centre of the hub of the home, they all add to the character of the property.

We added lots of windows and french doors, making use of the superb surroundings and creating bright airy rooms.

Two large bathrooms were added for the feel of pure luxury.

Furniture and soft furnishings were carefully chosen, the large wooden furniture, soft leather seating and cream country accessories are balanced by the use of more contemporary items such as the metal light fittings, door furniture, seating and curtain poles.  The dashes of red were strategically placed appealing to the overall scheme.

The house which we created is full of character,  totally complimentary to its surroundings and has formed a truly remarkable family home!
